I just posted my 200th book so it is time for a giveaway!

$25.00 worth of books from the Book Depository


Valid entries should have the following TWO elements:

1. a book recommendation of a book that is not on my list but you think should be
2.  your e-mail or blog address

Deadline for the giveaway: January 22, 2012, 8:00 PM EST
There will be TWO winners.
All valid entries will be assigned nuumbers according to when they posted
and the winning numbers will be determined through Random.org.

  9. Congrats to you!!! Here's my recommendation (which I don't think is on your list, but if it is, you know I'm full of other recommendations): A Moveable Feast by Hemingway. It's one of the only Hemingway books I love and it paints such an amazing picture of Paris in the '20s.

    I would recommend Other Words For Love by Lorraine Zago Rosenthal or Stick by Andrew Smith. Both are contemporaries. One from a female point of view in the 80s and other a male in the 70s. Both made my top 5 of 2011!

    I'd recommend Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta... or any book written by her. Anyway, it's a YA contemporary and my all-time favorite. Melina is one of the most brilliant and versatile author I know. She also writes fantasy books and I hope you'll find the time to read all her works and enjoy them. :)

  22. That's quite the list! One I didn't see on there that I absolutely love is Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. It's such a fun urban fantasy novel that I was sad when I finished it because I wanted more!

    I'd highly recommend The Fault in our Stars by John Green. It's brilliant and funny and moving and absolutely beautiful. (And also highly quotable!). I also second the recommendation for Chronicle of a Death Foretold.
